WELCOME TO LOWVILLE YOUTH LACROSSE

INTRODUCTION AND COMMUNICATION

The registration will take about 20 minutes of uninterrupted time. Please complete the registration with your athlete. The Code of Conduct, and other information is important to anyone affiliated with the Lowville Youth Lacrosse Program.

Please tour our website. Our website has great information about our program; Mission, Vision, Core Values, Sponsors, Concussion Protocol, Roster and Schedules.

We will be using Team Snap for communication with the coaches. Please download the app and keep an eye out for an invite that will be sent to your email as we get into the season. Our Facebook is a good communication tool as well, so be sure to like, follow and share. We also have a Lowville Youth Lacrosse Fan Base on Facebook for parents to share photos and shout out throughout the season.  We do our volunteering best to try to keep our website and other communication tools up to date so please visit often and opt for notifications.

Time Commitment

K-2nd Grade Teams usually will have 2 Practices a week for about an hour. Season will start beginning of April and will be located at the Lewis County Fairgrounds in Lowville.

3-6th Grade Teams usually will have 3 Practices a week for about 1.5-2 hours. Season will start as soon as the fields are good. We also have TBD weekly optional practices now.

Games are scheduled by the NNY Lacrosse League. They did just change ownership so we are assuming no changes based on prior years. Games are at the Watertown Fairgrounds. Your athlete will play about 2 – 25 min games, typically on Wednesdays. Each week is a different schedule that could start around 5:30-8. Sometimes you will be there for an hour, other times you could be there a few hours. This all depends on the schedule. You will get the entire schedule in advance and communication will be given for any changes. Once games start K-2nd grade will have 1 practice day and 1 game day. 3-6th Grade will have 2 practice days and 1 game day. Games are usually from beginning of May to Late June.

5th – 6th Grade Team

• $80
• Registration to NNY League
• Jersey and Shorts to Keep
• Sponsorship Shirt
• Equipment if needed (see equipment rental agreement, under forms)

If you volunteered last year, you are eligible for a discount for the upcoming season. You will need to put in the special code that is within the registration. I have contacted most of you ahead of time – If you were not contacted and/or are not on the approved discount list and feel this was in error, please contact me.

$15 discount per athlete. 

Financial Future

Now that we have been an official program for a year and are coming into our second season, we are looking forward to a few changes while keeping our Mission and Vision in mind.

Fundraising, donations and sponsorships are crucial to our financial success. We understand that every family’s situation is different. During the 2023 season we will be setting specific fundraising goals to help offset our 2024 season. 

We will need to be diligent with our fundraising efforts, receiving donations and sponsors to obtain our goal to keep parents pricing to a minimum. To run our program with insurance, communication and league fees it’s about $6,000 a year. Additionally, equipment rentals, and good jerseys, make our fundraising goal large but attainable, with your help.

Our 2023 end of year Financial Goal is $8,000. We understand that for many, time is not a commodity that can be donated very easily.  That’s why we are asking that if you are unable to help actively fundraise consider a monetary donation to Lowville Youth Lacrosse to help minimize our pricing next year. 100% of what you raise and/or donate goes right back into the organization. Monetary donations in the form of a check  may be made out to “Lowville Youth Lacrosse” and mailed to PO Box 45, Carthage NY 13619.

Refund Policy

If your athlete is unable to finish the season for any reason, we won’t be able to refund you your registration fee. Instead we will considerate a donation and thank you for the support.
